About Us
We pride ourselves in offering a unique experience at Kilmorie House, in wonderful surroundings, tastefully furnished with period antiques.
About Us
Kilmorie House is owned and run by Peter Wilke and Ian Murray. Peter's background is in the hospitality industry, previously training air crew staff with Air New Zealand and in more recent years, front of house manager for the Old Armoury Restaurant in Pitlochry.

Ian, who takes lesser part in running the business has worked for the Church of Scotland for 24 years and is currently the Buildings Officer over seeing the care and maintenance of over 500 ecclesiastical buildings throughout the North East, Orkney and Shetland. What better a combination for running a grade 2 listed building as a guest house!
Kilmorie House is situated in the heart of Elgin and was built in 1851 and carefully restored between 2017 and 2019. All of its historic features and original fireplaces were reinstated, with great attention taken to return the house to its original splendour. We are conveniently located in the peaceful conservation area of Institution Road within five minutes walk from the town centre and offer excellent off street parking. We also have an electric car charging point which is available for our guests to use at a cost per charge.
Our reviews are some of the best in Elgin, currently sitting at 9.9/10 on Booking.com and all 5 star on Google. But why not come and find out for yourselves!
